Dr. Christopher Banks was born in Virginia, and raised in West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), and completed his undergraduate studies in three years. While a student at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, he was actively involved in many philanthropic organizations, including a service organization that led a trip to Guatemala to administer needed dental work in impoverished areas of the country.
Dr. Banks has focused his practice on cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and is committed to staying on top of the evolving dental field. He is a member of a number of dental organizations including:
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- International Academy of Facial Aesthetics
- American Dental Association
- Maryland State Dental Association
- Eastern Panhandle Dental Association
Dr. Banks is committed to expanding his knowledge of dental practice and keeping up with the new strides that technology and research provide for oral health. In 2013, Dr. Banks was selected to serve on the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s Charitable Foundation Board of Trustees. In 2014, he was elected Chairman. Dr. Banks assists in the administration of the Academy and oversees the activities of its Give Back a Smile campaign, which is devoted to restoring the smiles and self-esteem of men and women who have suffered from domestic violence and sexual assault.
Along with his practice in Chevy Chase, Dr. Banks also treats patients with his father, Dr. Kenneth L. Banks, at their practice in West Virginia. He resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
